The local church houses a statue of St James. This is usually locked. If you want to see this well sculpted statue you can obtain the key from a nearby house. To get to the church turn right in middle of tarred road and cross main road after 20m.
Directions:
Continue for 200m on footpath then rejoin road (N135). Cross over and fork right uphill on footpath just before road KM9 and the old road bridge over the Agra. Track continues parallel to river. ( From here you can see the village of Huarte in the distance to your left and the Romanesque Ermita de la Virgen de la Nieve over on the hill on the opposite side of the river). Follow the way marks into fields for 1 km until you get to the main road. It’s a busy road, exercise great care when crossing. The more wary pilgrim has the alternative of a tunnel under the road (a concrete tube). Turn right into the service road. This veers left and after a few hundred yards you reach a bridge over the river Ulzama (a tributary of the Arga) at Trinidad de Arre.
